Ryan Lathrop - President, CEO, Owner

Ryan is the mind behind the mission!  He has been involved in private security, military, and police work for over twenty years.  Experienced in managing large scale operations internationally within the private sector, specializing in executive protection, estate security, and event security.

Retired from the New York City Police Department in 2022, Ryan’s experience in general patrol and anti-crime operations is amplified with extensive training in Counter-terrorism, Active Shooter situations, Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response, Street Narcotics Enforcement, Radiological/Nuclear Awareness, Emergency Vehicle Operations, and Disorder Control. His last assignment was within the Special Operations Division as a member of the Elite Scuba Team. This highly trained unit would respond to incidents within the waterways of New York City deploying from police boats and/or helicopters. During his law enforcement career, Ryan has earned many commendations for excellent police duties and meritorious police duties.

Ryan is a former Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.  As a Sergeant in an infantry unit, Ryan established a reputation for invaluable leadership while conducting military operations ashore in Southwest Asia and Africa.  A member of Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 1st Marine Division, his amphibious Marine Corps unit was also the Trailer Force for Seal Teams 3 & 5, the Direct Response Team for 1stForce Recon, and was assigned to a Special Operations Team performing Joint Task Force Operations with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the United States Border Patrol.

Ryan is a Certified Special Operations Protection Specialist and has extensive training and experience in Executive Protection and High-Threat Protection Operations.  Certified through Executive Security International, Ryan’s advanced training includes Protective Detail Operations, Detail Advances, Motorcade Protection, Evasive Driving, IED Explosives Response & Identification, as well as Counter-surveillance & Surveillance Detection.

Ryan’s experience in private security started in Hollywood night clubs then branched out to event security, residential security, and bodyguard work for celebrities and high-profile business professionals. Ryan has personally managed close protection operations for high net-worth individuals within the United States and abroad. Conducting threat assessments and established security plans for many high-profile individuals, events, business locations, and private residences.
